Salt Lake County can be better managed... for less.
Mark's plan to improve Salt Lake County includes a path to make County government less expensive and more fiscally sound, to work with—not against—the cities across Salt Lake Valley, and to dramatically improve the County’s core services over time. It's time to cut bureaucratic waste, to save money inefficient processes, and to focus on the County's core services without competing with cities.
As Mayor, Mark Crockett will focus on three distinct goals:
- Strengthen Salt Lake County’s core services and save millions of dollars from the budget by cutting waste, better management, and more efficiency.
- Shrinking the reach of the County to not compete with overlapping city services. The county and the cities should work together, and competition between overlapping services only results in inefficiency and higher costs to residents.
- Avoid federal and state subsidies, and finding ways to pay for essential services without asking for federal subsidies, state subsidies, or increased taxes on Salt Lake County residents and businesses.
